Privacy Policy

Korl Inc. ("Korl," "we," "us") operates the website at korl.co (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect through the Site and how we use it.

Scope

This policy applies only to the Site and to information you send us through its demo request form or using the contact details listed on it.

It does not apply to information we process on behalf of our customers when providing our services. That information, including any protected health information, is governed by our agreements with those customers, including a Business Associate Agreement where applicable. If you have a question about data a healthcare provider has shared with Korl, please contact that provider directly.

Information we collect

We collect limited information through the Site.

  • Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you choose to write. Please do not send patient information or other sensitive personal information by email.
  • Demo requests. If you submit the demo request form, we receive the name, work email address, and organization you enter, and any message you choose to include. Please do not include patient information or other sensitive personal information.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting and network providers automatically record basic technical details when they deliver the Site to you, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of the request.
  • Site analytics. Our hosting provider runs an analytics script on the Site for us. The script is served from the Site's own domain and records page views, including the page address, the referring page, your browser type and language, and your approximate country. It does not record what you type or click.

The Site does not load analytics or advertising scripts from third-party domains, and it does not use tracking pixels or advertising cookies. The Site has no accounts. Its only form is the demo request form, which we operate as part of the Site without third-party form or CAPTCHA tools.

The Site uses a small number of cookies. An analytics session cookie lasts about 30 minutes and lets us count page views from the same visit together. A hosting cookie helps our hosting provider deliver a consistent version of the Site. Our network provider may also set a strictly necessary cookie for security purposes, such as distinguishing people from automated traffic.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your demo requests and messages and continue conversations you start with us;
  • send you follow-up information about Korl and our services, which you can opt out of at any time;
  • operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Site;
  • understand overall Site traffic in aggregate, such as the number of visits and where they come from; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not use this information for third-party advertising. Any follow-up emails we send about Korl will include a way to opt out.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We disclose information only in these cases:

  • Service providers. Companies that host and deliver the Site, provide its analytics, deliver demo requests to us, and provide our email, customer relationship management, and other business software process information on our behalf, under obligations to protect it.
  • Legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Korl or others.
  • Business transfers. If Korl is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Retention

We keep emails and demo requests for as long as needed to respond to you, maintain our relationship with you or your organization, and keep our business records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, as described below. Our hosting and network providers keep technical logs for limited periods under their own retention practices, and we do not keep separate copies of those logs. Analytics records are kept by our hosting provider under its own retention practices.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information described in this policy. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@korl.co or writing to the address below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

You can opt out of follow-up emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, including California, you may have additional rights under state or other privacy laws. We will not treat you differently for exercising them.

Browser privacy signals. The Site does not track visitors across other websites or from one visit to the next, and we do not sell or share personal information. The Site therefore behaves the same way whether or not your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal.

Children

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

International visitors

Korl is based in the United States, and information we collect is processed in the United States.

Links to other sites

The Site links to third-party websites, such as LinkedIn and the sources we cite. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the effective date above.
